SELECTING THE DATA SOURCE
Using Jira Filters:
Select a pre-defined Jira filter from the Jira Filters dropdown. This allows you to quickly apply an existing filter that you or your team have already set up in Jira.
Using Addon Filters:
If you have additional filters provided by addons, you can choose one from the Addon Filters dropdown. These filters are specific to the additional functionalities provided by various Jira plugins and addons.
Configuring Your Search:
You can also configure your own search by selecting the fields under the Configure section. Here, you have two options:
Basic Search: Use the Basic tab to select your project, issue type, status, assignee, and more details , using a simple

JQL (Jira Query Language): For more advanced searches, switch to the JQL tab. This allows you to manually input JQL queries to precisely define the issues to include in your chart.
Once you've set up your filter using one of these methods, click the Generate button to create your chart based on the selected issues.

Issue List Generation:
After configuring your issue selection ,the selected issues will be compiled into a list based on your filter criteria. This list will represent the data that will be visualized in your chart.
BUILDING A CHART
Display of Chart Creation Menu:
Once the issues are generated, the Chart Creation Menu will be displayed. Here, you can select your chart type, customize dimensions, and define calculations. This menu provides all the tools necessary to build a chart tailored to your needs.

Preview:
Once you have configured your chart in Chart Factory for Jira, you have the option to preview it and add it as a gadget to your Jira dashboard. This allows you to have real-time access to your visualized data directly from your dashboard.
PUBLISHING TO DASHBOARD
Publish to Dashboard:
If you're satisfied with the preview, click the Publish to Dashboard button next to Preview.
This action will add the gadget directly to your Jira dashboard.
You will receive a confirmation message stating, “Gadget has been added to the dashboard” along with a link to go directly to the dashboard or the specific gadget.
Accessing the Gadget:
Once published, you can access your gadget directly from your Jira dashboard by following the provided link or navigating to your dashboard.
This functionality makes it easy to have your key charts and insights visible at all times, improving accessibility and visibility of your project data.
MANAGING EXISTING CHARTS
Accessing My Gadgets:
Once you've published your gadgets to the Jira dashboard, you can easily manage and view them through the My Gadgets section.
Navigating to My Gadgets:
From the main Chart Factory for Jira interface, click on the gadget icon to access My Gadgets.
This will open a new view where you can see all your configured gadgets, including those from different dashboards.
Filter by Dashboard:
You can filter your gadgets by selecting a specific dashboard from the Dashboards dropdown.
This is useful if you want to focus on gadgets related to a particular project or dashboard.
View Gadget Details:
For each gadget, you will see key information such as the Gadget Title, Dashboard it belongs to, any Template applied, and active Jira or Addon Filters.
You can quickly navigate to any gadget by clicking the eye icon, or edit the gadget's settings using the pencil icon.
Switch Between Dashboards:
There are two primary options to view your gadgets:
By dashboard: Displays gadgets organized by the specific dashboard they're published to.
All dashboards: Lists all your gadgets across all dashboards for a comprehensive view.
This feature ensures that you can easily manage and keep track of all your visualized data in one place.
