In Chart Factory for Jira, there are three primary methods to generate the issues you want to visualize in your chart:

  1. Using Jira Filters:

    • Select a pre-defined Jira filter from the Jira Filters dropdown. This allows you to quickly apply an existing filter that you or your team have already set up in Jira.

  2. Using Addon Filters:

    • If you have additional filters provided by addons, you can choose one from the Addon Filters dropdown. These filters are specific to the additional functionalities provided by various Jira plugins and addons.

  3. Configuring Your Search:

    • You can also configure your own search by selecting the fields under the Configure section. Here, you have two options:

      • Basic Search: Use the Basic tab to select your project, issue type, status, assignee, and more, using a simple, user-friendly interface.

      • JQL (Jira Query Language): For more advanced searches, switch to the JQL tab. This allows you to manually input JQL queries to precisely define the issues to include in your chart.

  4. Once you've set up your filter using one of these methods, click the Generate button to create your chart based on the selected issues.

  1. Issue List Generation:

    • After configuring your issue selection ,the selected issues will be compiled into a list based on your filter criteria. This list will represent the data that will be visualized in your chart.

  2. Display of Chart Creation Menu:

    • Once the issues are generated, the Chart Creation Menu will be displayed. Here, you can select your chart type, customize dimensions, and define calculations. This menu provides all the tools necessary to build a chart tailored to your needs.
