New Features

1. Create a Work Item from the Calendar View

We’ve added a powerful productivity enhancement to the Calendar module:
You can now create a new Work Item / Jira Ticket directly while adding a Worklog or Workplan entry.

What’s new:

  • When logging time or planning work, simply open the work item selector and click “Create work item” from the dropdown.

  • Instantly create and associate the new item without navigating away from your calendar.

  • Seamless integration between task planning and time tracking.

Why it matters:

This feature streamlines time entry and removes the friction of having to create an issue or placeholder work item beforehand. It’s especially useful when working in fast-paced environments where new tasks emerge during planning.

As shown below, the new “Create work item” option is clearly available within the Log Work pop-up:

2. Worklog Attributes Configuration (Admin Panel)

We’ve introduced a brand-new Worklog Attributes section in the Administration panel, giving Jira admins more control and customization over time tracking.

What’s new:

  • Admins can now define custom attributes to be attached to worklogs.

  • Each attribute can be marked as optional or mandatory depending on your workflow needs.

  • Helps teams capture extra metadata, such as billing status, approval checkboxes, task categories, or custom flags.

Why it matters:

This feature brings flexibility to how time entries are categorized and audited, making it easier to meet operational, legal, or client-specific tracking requirements.
